UNAIR Wins Awards from International Media QS WOW NEWS
UNAIR NEWS – Universitas Airlangga received awards as Top Contributors of QS WOW NEWS, a news portal of world universities ranking publisher Quacquarelli Symonds. In February, UNAIR was ranked third while in March, UNAIR had second place.
Universitas Airlangga won an award as an active contributor and contributed most to QS WOW NEWS website, https://qswownews.com/ .
In February 2019, Airlangga University ranked third after Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, and Global University Systems. While in March 2019, Airlangga University was ranked second after Ajman University and Global University Systems in third place.
Regarding the awards, Andi Pramono as the international news editor said that he was proud of the award received by Universitas Airlangga for two consecutive months. He thanked all parties who contribute news content to Universitas Airlangga Center for Information and Public Relations (PIH).
“UNAIR has begun to improve its internationalization program, with many international news stories supported by both lecturers and students,” Andi explained.
“This achievement cannot be separated from the support of academic community in making contribution to science,” he added.
In addition, Andi also emphasized that the awards received by Universitas Airlangga were of supports from reporters working in PIH Universitas Airlangga.
Meanwhile, Head of Center for Information and Public Relations (PIH) Universitas Airlangga Dr. Suko Widodo said that this international scale award showed that the material quality and knowledge of Universitas Airlangga’s academics are significant for international communities.
“Maintaining this award is not easy. So we need supports in forms of international news to be submitted to QS WOW NEWS , “Suko said.
